TLS 1.1 is no longer supported!

We would like to inform you that, for security reasons, SSL communication via TLS 1.1 is no longer supported.

What does that mean in practice?

  • TLS 1.1 has been disabled by security providers: due to its outdated architecture and the associated risks, TLS 1.1 has been disabled on various systems (and is no longer available, for example, following firewall updates).
  • TLS 1.1 is no longer supported by Microsoft, Apple, Google and Mozilla. TLS 1.1 is disabled in common versions of Windows.
  • TLS 1.2 or higher required: To continue to ensure a secure connection to the flexmobility platform, all systems must be upgraded to TLS 1.2 (standard version 12) or higher.
  • Update strongly recommended: Customers still using a flexmobility platform version lower than 12 should carry out an update immediately to ensure compatibility and security.

Why is that important?

TLS (Transport Layer Security) is a protocol for secure data transmission over the internet. Older versions, such as TLS 1.1, are now considered insecure and vulnerable to attacks. Upgrading to the latest standards protects your data and infrastructure from potential security risks.

What should you do now?

  1. Check your systems to see which version of TLS is being used.
  2. Ensure that TLS 1.2 or higher is enabled.
  3. Update your flexmobility platform 12 if you are using a version lower than 12.
  4. Please contact your IT service provider or our support team if you have any questions about the migration.
