Update for the camera barcode scanner

In mobile data capture, every second counts – and every barcode scanned correctly. That’s why we’ve made significant improvements to barcode recognition via the smartphone camera in our next update. The aim: even greater efficiency and precision in day-to-day use.

1. Significantly improved scanning performance

Thanks to optimised image processing and accelerated recognition algorithms, scanning 1D and 2D barcodes is now even more reliable – even in difficult lighting conditions, at unfavourable angles or with slightly damaged codes. The camera recognises barcodes faster and more consistently, which noticeably speeds up the entire scanning process.

2. Target marker for precise selection

A real highlight of the update is the new target marker: it helps to select a specific barcode from a large number of codes. Particularly in environments with several barcodes close together – such as in warehouses, logistics or retail – the target marker ensures significantly more precise control and reduces input errors.

The combination of improved recognition and targeted selection makes scanning not only faster but also more reliable. This saves time, reduces errors and ensures a smoother workflow – whether in the field, in the warehouse or at the checkout.
